PhotoIreland Opens International Centre for the Image in Dublin with Inaugural Exhibition Foreword
On July 17, 2025, PhotoIreland will launch the International Centre for the Image in Dublin's North Wall area. Spanning 10,000 square feet, this cultural venue integrates PhotoIreland’s initiatives, offering free exhibitions, educational programs, and community involvement throughout the year. In collaboration with Kennedy Wilson and with backing from the Arts Council of Ireland, the center will house artist studios, a public workshop, an art library, and a bookshop. Director Ángel Luis González Fernández underscores its significance in the realms of photography and visual arts. The opening exhibition, Foreword, co-curated by González Fernández and Julia Gelezova, showcases 17 artists, including Abigail O'Brien, Alan Butler, and Alex Prager, while promoting equity, sustainability, and innovation in the arts.
