Photofairs Launches Inaugural New York Edition at Javits Center in September 2023
Photofairs will debut in New York City from September 8 to 10, 2023, at the Javits Center in Manhattan, featuring 100 exhibitors across photography, film, and VR. The fair, organized by Creo and Angus Montgomery Arts, will run concurrently with the Armory Show. It comprises four sections: 'Galleries' for modern and contemporary photography-based artists, 'Platform' for galleries under eight years old or artists under 35, 'Screen' for new media art, and 'Film' for filmmaking practices. A selection committee and advisory group of global galleries and collectors will oversee the event, with Meta Media Group as an international partner. Scott Gray, founder and CEO of Creo, stated that New York's reputation as a creative hub makes it a natural choice for the fair's expansion. Applications for exhibitors are now open. This New York edition serves as a counterpart to Photofairs Shanghai, the largest commercial photography fair in the Asia-Pacific region.
