Photo Open Up Festival Launches in Padua with 'Dialoghi e Conflitti' Theme
The inaugural Photo Open Up – Festival Internazionale di Fotografia commenced in Padua on September 21 and will continue until October 27. Under the direction of Carlo Sala, this event is organized by the Comune di Padova and Arcadia Arte, with backing from Fondazione Cariparo. The theme for this year is 'Dialoghi e Conflitti' (Dialogues and Conflicts). Notable exhibitions feature 'Io, l’altro (e altrove)' at Musei Civici agli Eremitani, showcasing works by Henri Cartier-Bresson, Diane Arbus, Robert Mapplethorpe, and David LaChapelle; 'Un paese di dialoghi e conflitti' at Galleria Cavour; 'Cattedrali Industriali' at Palazzo del Monte di Pietà; 'Altre Visioni' at Palazzo Moroni; and 'Argo' at Cattedrale Ex Macello. Additionally, the festival hosts meetings, workshops, roundtables, and other related events.
