Photo Contest La Venaria Reale 2021 Opens for Submissions

The fourth edition of the Photo Contest La Venaria Reale invites photographers to capture the Savoy royal residence and its surroundings. Running from June 12 to July 4, 2021, the biennial competition now includes the Castle of Mandria and its royal apartments, located within the 3,000-hectare Mandria Natural Park, 1.5 km from the Reggia di Venaria. Registration is free for the first 200 applicants, open from May 28 to 30 on the Venaria Reale website. Since 2013, the contest has received over 2,700 participation requests, more than 4,000 photographs, and 500 participants, establishing itself as a major Italian cultural heritage photography competition. Three main prizes totaling €2,000 will be awarded for the best photographs selected by a jury of photography, journalism, and cultural heritage experts, based on composition, originality, and interpretation. Additional awards include the Premio La Stampa for reportage style and the Premio Green (€500) for the image best representing the relationship between humans and nature, part of the #LaVenariaGREEN program.
