Phillips Collection to Showcase Rare Avery, Gottlieb, Rothko Exhibition
On October 24, The Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C. will unveil "Avery, Gottlieb & Rothko: By the Sea," which will be on display until January 24, 2027. This exhibition showcases approximately 90 artworks that delve into the artistic interactions among Milton Avery, Adolph Gottlieb, and Mark Rothko, who connected in New York City and spent their summers in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Additionally, Central Park's Bethesda Fountain and Conservatory Water Basin are set to receive a $37 million restoration by the Central Park Conservancy, aiming to merge historic preservation with contemporary infrastructure. From February 28 to June 13, 2027, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston will present "Renoir and Love," featuring 40 paintings. The International Furniture Design Competition Asahikawa 2027 is calling for submissions themed "Origin."
