Philippe Van Cauteren Appointed Curator for Iraq Pavilion at 2015 Venice Biennale

Philippe Van Cauteren will organize the Iraq Pavilion at the 56th Venice Biennale, scheduled from 9 May to 22 November 2015. The Ruya Foundation for Contemporary Culture in Iraq made this announcement. Van Cauteren serves as artistic director of S.M.A.K. Museum for Contemporary Art in Ghent. He previously co-curated the Belgian Pavilion in 2013, featuring Berlinde De Bruyckere's work Kreupelhout (Cripplewood).
