Philippe Parreno's Major Interviews Collection Published by artpress
artpress has released 'Les grands entretiens d'artpress. Philippe Parreno', a volume collecting major interviews with the French artist. Parreno emerged in the 1990s as a key figure of a generation that rejected the previous decade's 'neo' trends, reconnecting with avant-garde analytical goals: redefining exhibition space, deconstructing media, and focusing on how objects fit into context and history rather than their mere production. Contrary to tradition, Parreno seeks to introduce fiction into reality to reinvent it. Major institutions such as the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Centre Pompidou, Mamco Geneva, and Palais de Tokyo have hosted his exhibitions. The book features interviews by Nicolas Bourriaud, Catherine Millet, Anaël Pigeat, and Philippe Vergne, with a preface by Anaël Pigeat. Parreno states, 'It's less the production of objects than their insertion into a story, into a context that interests me.'
