Philip Tinari Named Deputy Director and Head of Art at Tai Kwun Contemporary in Hong Kong

Philip Tinari will take on the role of deputy director and head of art at Tai Kwun Contemporary in Hong Kong starting January 12, following Pi Li's departure in February. With 14 years of experience leading the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, Tinari has played a pivotal role in its growth in China. His curatorial achievements include exhibitions featuring renowned artists such as Picasso, Matisse, and Warhol. He co-curated the 2017 exhibition "Art and China after 1989" at the Guggenheim and organized the first Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale in 2021. A Harvard and Duke alumnus, Tinari has resided in Beijing since 2006 and aims to bolster Tai Kwun's international presence and influence.
