Peter Blake's 'Sculpture and Other Matters' at Waddington Custot

Peter Blake, the renowned British artist now in his nineties, is displaying his newest creations in an exhibition called 'Sculpture and Other Matters' at Waddington Custot in London, running from February 20 to April 13. This show highlights his fresh sculptures, which are a lesser-known part of his work, alongside his iconic collages. Standout pieces include the 'The Big Little Books' series (2023) and 'Larousse. & Sears, Roebuck. Collections' (2023), both incorporating printed materials spanning from the Victorian era to the mid-20th century, examining themes of consumerism since the Industrial Revolution. The exhibition also features black-patinated bronze casts of various assembled objects, including a miniature version of Brancusi's 'Endless Column' (1938).
