Peter Belyi's 'The Silences of the Apocalypse' at Fondazione San Fedele
The Fondazione Culturale San Fedele in Milan is hosting a solo exhibition by Russian artist Peter Belyi, titled '153 “Peter Belyi. The Silences of the Apocalypse”', running until May 16, 2026. The show is organized in collaboration with Galleria Giampaolo Abbondio of Milan. Belyi was born in 1971 in Leningrad and studied in Russia and abroad, earning a master's degree in printmaking from Camberwell College of Art in London in 2000, having lived in the city from 1995 to 2001. He currently resides in Leningrad. In 2010, he received the prestigious Sergei Kuryokhin Prize for his project 'Explosion', an installation made of broken wooden planks that symbolically suspends time. The exhibition opens at a particularly sensitive time for Russian art and culture, amid international political tensions and boycotts of Russian artists.
