Perugia launches creative coworking space Officine Fratti
The Municipality of Perugia has inaugurated Officine Fratti, a 300-square-meter coworking space in the city's historic center aimed at supporting youth creative entrepreneurship. The initiative offers shared workshops for crafts, design, and ICT, addressing youth unemployment by fostering collaboration. A national public call will select eight young people aged 18–35 with innovative, sustainable project ideas. Selected participants receive nine months of work-study grants (€500 each), training, shared spaces, and tutoring/mentoring services. The program runs from June 2017 to February 2018, after which participants may form legal entities to continue using the space until February 2021. They will also manage the project's communication channels. Applications must be submitted by 5 PM on April 3, 2017. The space is open to all, including experienced professionals in creative industries.
