Perrotin Donates 23 Works to Centre Pompidou

Emmanuel Perrotin, the founder of the Perrotin gallery with branches in cities such as Paris, Hong Kong, New York, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Los Angeles, has generously gifted 23 pieces from 17 artists to the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Among the artists represented by Perrotin are Elmgreen and Dragset, Sophie Calle, Bharti Kher, Takashi Murakami, and Tavares Strachan. According to a statement from the Pompidou, the selected works provide "a wide panorama of contemporary art from the past 20 years." The donation, valued at over $2 million, surpasses the museum's annual acquisition budget. Beginning 14 October, the new works will be displayed, with Perrotin noting, "This donation is a tribute to the artists."
