Perimeter Editions and Monash University Museum of Art Publish Companion to Sriwhana Spong Exhibition 'HA HA HA'
A co-publication by Perimeter Editions and Monash University Museum of Art accompanies Sriwhana Spong's inaugural major Australian solo exhibition. The London-based artist of Balinese and Aotearoa New Zealand heritage begins with images, texts, historical traces, or living organisms, producing works that challenge linear time and human-nonhuman entanglements. The volume includes new essays and a personal piece by Spong on inheritance, naming, and cultural transmission, covering drawings, film, sculpture, textiles, and new commissions. Mist pervades the project as a metaphor for instability and resistance to cultural reduction. Published in April 2026 as an OTA-bound softcover with flaps (208 pages, 17×24 cm, ISBN 978-1-922-54565-7), the first edition of 800 retails for $65. Editing by Stephanie Berlangieri and Pip Wallis; contributions from Ariana Reines, Vera Mey, May Adadol Ingawanij, Tessa Laird, and Rebecca Coates; design by Narelle Brewer for Perimeter Bureau; contributing editor Dan Rule.
