Performing PAC Returns to Milan with Extended Edition Focused on Music

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

The PAC (Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea) in Milan has launched the third edition of its Performing PAC event, running until September 13, 2020, after a postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally a three-day live event, this edition has been extended across the summer with screenings and streaming talks. Curator Diego Sileo explains that the theme is the relationship between art and music, following previous editions on the body and on gender/identity. The program includes archival materials from Laurie Anderson's 2003 exhibition at PAC, works by the duo Invernomuto, Jeremy Deller's film on Depeche Mode fans, and a selection of music videos by contemporary directors. The event aims to be interdisciplinary and accessible, with a new digital guide replacing the paper version, accessible via QR code. Visits are by reservation only, with limited capacity and modified pathways.
