Peninsula Art Edition: Italian Artists in Berlin Launch Fundraising Pbox

Over 40 Italian artists living in Berlin have launched Peninsula, a multidisciplinary platform founded in 2014 by Loris Cecchini (Milan, 1969). The initiative aims to map Italian creatives in the city and foster connections among them. Peninsula emerged from ITaliens, a series of exhibitions promoted since 2010 by the Italian Embassy in Berlin, curated by Alessandra Pace and Marina Sorbello, which helped consolidate the Italian artist community. The non-profit association was co-founded by Cecchini, Eleonora Farina, Rebecca Agnese, Stefania Migliorati, and others. For over a year, the group met in Cecchini's studio, which became the association's headquarters. Peninsula has organized exhibitions and projects with the Berlin art scene, seeking international collaborations. To raise funds, the artists created "Pbox," a limited-edition editorial project: 38 boxes, each containing a random selection of 6 editions made by the artists. The boxes will be sold for €150 starting July 1. Berlin has been a preferred destination for artists due to high quality of life and lower rents.
