Pedestrian Killed by Frontier Airlines Plane at Denver Airport

A Frontier Airlines plane struck and killed a pedestrian on the runway at Denver International Airport during take-off on Friday at approximately 11:19 PM. The pedestrian, who jumped a perimeter fence, died after being hit two minutes after entering the airport. The incident sparked an engine fire, forcing over 230 passengers and crew to evacuate onto the runway. The plane was en route from Denver to Los Angeles International Airport. The pilot reported to air traffic control that they had hit someone and that there was an engine fire, stating there were 231 souls on board. The pedestrian is not believed to be an airport employee.
