Peccioli's 30-Year Art and Poetry Trail Through Tuscan Villages

festival-fair · 2026-05-04

Peccioli, a charming medieval village in Tuscany with fewer than 5,000 residents and history stretching back to 1021, has been celebrating modern art and poetry for three decades. This year’s VOCI festival, which the local government arranged with Fondazione Peccioliper, showcases a distinctive trail through Peccioli and nearby Ghizzano and Fabbrica. Six contemporary writers and poets, including Laura Bosio and Mauro Covacich, have created audio stories inspired by the area. Their works are complemented by installations from artist Vittorio Corsini. Notable landmarks include several churches in Peccioli and Ghizzano. Visitors can explore the festival using brochures or a shuttle. Mayor Renzo Macelloni emphasized the project's growth since 1991 and its significance in fostering community engagement through art.
