Pebs time management objects for neurodivergent people among UIC industrial design projects

architecture-design · 2026-05-19

The University of Illinois Chicago School of Design presented MDes industrial design projects including Pebs by Bahar Aryana, an interactive system of small glowing objects that help neurodivergent individuals with time perception through subtle environmental cues rather than screen-based alerts. Other projects include Cho by Taha Hasan, an extended reality glove controller that brings haptic feedback to VR design, and WǔWù by Thirata Noparat, a five-piece furniture collection embodying Feng Shui elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, water) as functional tools for emotional balance. The projects were completed under tutors Brian Anderson and TJ O'Keefe as part of the Thesis and Documentation course.
