Pax newsletter summer special: cultural tourism itineraries across Italy
The Pax newsletter, dedicated to cultural tourism, releases a special summer edition on Friday, July 31, before a brief break. It resumes on Friday, September 4. The issue closes the first semester with rich itineraries and travel tips for the Italian holiday season. Highlights include the 'ritual' Liguria of Stella Maris in Camogli, the little-known 'Jerusalem of Tuscany', and archaeological museums in small towns (about 400 fragile, undervalued sites). Five anti-overtourism travel proposals range from Tuscany's freshwater to the Norman Trail in Calabria. 'Travel to learn' opportunities include scientific expeditions, artist workshops, organic farms, and language treks. The Carosello section features news on evening museum openings, cultural initiatives in the Bolognese Apennines and Grecìa Salentina (with a FAI event at Cerrate Abbey), historic trains, medieval music, submerged archaeological parks, moonlight video art, new hospitality projects, reading tips, and grants. Pax is curated by Livia Montagnoli and Luisa Taliento, sent biweekly via email, free to subscribe.
