Paw Chew Go: Milan's illustration and drawing festival returns May 6-7

Milan's largest illustration and drawing festival, Paw Chew Go, returns for its eighth edition on May 6-7, 2023, at BASE cultural center. Organized by the Paciugo association, the festival features over 200 authors, artists, and creatives. The core event is a market exhibition with over 120 illustrators presenting their work. Talks and debates moderated by Simone Sbarbati and Antonio Cornacchia, as well as book presentations curated by Enea Brigatti, Sarah Mazzetti, and Vincenzo Filosa, are scheduled. Aspiring cartoonists and illustrators can submit portfolios for review by prominent Italian artists including Olimpia Zagnoli, LRNZ, Adriano Attus, Stefano Cipolla, Stefano D’Isa, Paolo Bacilieri, and Emi Ligabue. Sunday, May 7, is dedicated to Elena Xausa (1984-2022), an illustrator who died of cancer in November 2022. A charity auction at 7:30 PM will support Fondazione AIRC for cancer research, with original works donated by Olimpia Zagnoli, Alessandro Baronciani, Massimo Giacon, Emiliano Ponzi, and Elisa Talentino. The program also includes engraving and printing workshops, an exhibition by Eleonora Marton, DJ sets, and live painting.
