Paul Hamlyn Foundation Awards £75,000 Each to Ten Artists and Composers in 2024

In its 2024 Awards for Artists, the Paul Hamlyn Foundation has granted £75,000 to each of ten artists and composers, an increase of £15,000 from the former amount of £60,000. The awardees include visual artists Anne Bean, Barry Anthony Finan, Mikhail Karikis, Grace Ndiritu, and Sean Roy Parker, as well as composers Auclair, Andrew Hamilton, Rachel Musson, Aidan O’Rourke, and Mark Sanders. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, this unrestricted award allows winners to pursue their creative endeavors without financial constraints. Since its inception in 1994, the initiative has supported over 350 UK artists, making it the largest individual award for visual creators and composers in the UK. Judging the visual arts category were Jane Hamlyn, Lisa Milroy, Nigel Prince, Gabriela Salgado, and Salma Tuqan, while the composers category was evaluated by Kevin Le Gendre, Laurence Crane, Tony Dudley-Evans, Maija Handover, and Kellie While.
