Paul Carey-Kent Curates 'The Presence of Absence' at Berloni Gallery, Featuring 14 Artists Exploring Conceptual Absence

Between January 30 and March 14, 2015, the Berloni Gallery in London showcased 'The Presence of Absence,' a collective exhibition curated by Paul Carey-Kent that featured 14 artists delving into the theme of absence. The display encompassed various mediums, including film, sculpture, photography, and a scent installation by Giorgio Sadotti titled Vatican (2015). Notable contributions came from filmmakers like Maria Marshall and artists such as John Smith, Liane Lang, Stefana McClure, Bronwen Buckeridge, Nika Neelova, Blue Curry, Alan Magee, Anni Leppälä, Jason Oddy, Martine Poppe, and Ian Bruce. Four artists, including John Stezaker, chose not to participate. Carey-Kent is also planning a 'weight'-themed exhibition for April 2015 and an Anglo-German collaboration for September 2015.
