Patrizio Di Massimo's 'The Tail End of the Tale' at T293 Rome

Patrizio Di Massimo (born Jesi, 1983) presents his fourth solo exhibition at T293 gallery in Rome, titled 'The Tail End of the Tale,' running until October 23. The show explores the boundary between reality and fantasy through domestic scenes set in the London apartments where the artist has lived. 'Angry Birds' recalls Otto Dix, while 'Flat 2, 164 Peckham Rye' features a Magritte-like window and his daughter Diana playing. 'Anna' portrays artist Anna Franceschini behind a bookshelf filled with symbolic objects. 'A Blue Room' and 'Tea Time' delve into darker, ambiguous territory between eroticism and paradox. The exhibition demonstrates Di Massimo's technical and conceptual maturity, synthesizing large-scale works with evocative power that renews Italian interwar painting traditions with a contemporary edge.
