Patrick Tuttofuoco launches crowdfunding for Quadriennale 2016 participation

Artist Patrick Tuttofuoco has launched a crowdfunding campaign on BeArt platform to fund his participation in the 16th Quadriennale of Rome, titled "Altri tempi, altri miti," running from October 13, 2016 to January 8, 2017 at Palazzo delle Esposizioni. The campaign, active until October 6, 2016, supports his work "Goooonies" (inspired by the 1980s film The Goonies) for the section "Ehi, Voi!" curated by Michele D'Aurizio. The piece features photographic portraits of four fellow artists—Massimiliano Buvoli, Christian Frosi, Massimo Grimaldi, and Riccardo Previdi—merged with photographs of rocks from Pescara, printed on PVC banners 10 meters high, referencing Tuttofuoco's earlier work "Grattacielo" (2000) created with the same artists at Brera Academy. Rewards include posters, prints, banners, and personalized portraits. The Quadriennale returns after an eight-year hiatus. Crowdfunding is increasingly used by artists like Tania Bruguera and Marina Abramović; BeArt is a leading platform in Italy.
