Pastificio Cerere partners with schools for student-artist residencies in Rome

Pastificio Cerere, the historic creative hub in Rome's San Lorenzo district, is redefining its identity through educational initiatives. The former industrial complex, known for fostering the Gruppo di Via Ausoni in the 1980s, recently partnered with RUFA (Rome University of Fine Arts) to establish a campus. Now, it collaborates with Istituto Superiore Leon Battista Alberti and Melting Pro for the project 'Made and told. Il Made in Italy raccontato dai giovani,' funded by Italy's Ministry of Education. The project involves 50 students aged 15-18 from the new Sistema Moda program. It unfolds in three phases: learning, creation, and storytelling. On October 3, 2016, students visited studios and met artists and designers Myriam B, Ottavio Celestino, Eligio Paoni, Pietro Ruffo, and Andrea Stoger. Workshops with these artists will run from mid-October, followed by digital storytelling labs in November by Melting Pro. The project culminates in a December 2016 exhibition at Fondazione Pastificio Cerere.
