Paso Nara: ISAD's Desert Workshop Installation in Chihuahua
During the summer of 2026, the Taller del Desierto was organized by the Instituto Superior de Arquitectura y Diseño (ISAD) in Chihuahua, Mexico. This four-week intensive workshop brought together design students to develop 1:1 scale urban interventions, focusing on design, material experimentation, and fabrication. The installation known as 'Paso Nara' was led by Alexis Pereda Chánez, with contributions from Francisco Granulllo de la Rocha and Abril Ávila Hernández. Spanning 18 square meters, it was curated by Valentina Díaz, featuring photography by Pereda Chánez and Santiago Ruiz Sandoval. This temporary installation highlights the relationship between design education and practical construction within the urban landscape of Chihuahua.
