Pascal Convert's 'Three Trees' at Galerie Éric Dupont

exhibition · 2026-04-23

Pascal Convert's exhibition 'Three Trees' at Galerie Éric Dupont in Paris (October 5 – November 23, 2019) features works from his mission in Armenia, where he documented Armenian monasteries and khachkars (cross-stones) threatened by destruction. Using techniques from contact photography to photogrammetry, Convert created platinum-palladium prints and sculptures that preserve the memory of these cultural artifacts. The exhibition includes 'Écorce de pierre' (2018-19), a contact print of a khachkar from Geghard Monastery, and works from Haghpat and Sanahin. Convert's practice confronts historical trauma and the erasure of cultural heritage, as seen in his earlier work on the Bamiyan Buddhas. The show runs until November 23, 2019.
