PART Museum in Rimini Launches Italian Artists Prize and Expands Sculpture Garden
The PART museum in Rimini, which debuted during the pandemic, has unveiled the inaugural Premio Artisti Italiani PART, a biennial award aimed at contemporary artists under 40 residing in Italy or of Italian origin. Curators Edoardo Bonaspetti, Lucrezia Calabrò Visconti, and Francesco Garutti will each choose four artists. The awards consist of €10,000 for first place, €6,000 for second, and €4,000 for third, with the winning pieces becoming part of the Fondazione San Patrignano collection. In late October, the Giardino delle Sculture was launched, showcasing seven large-scale sculptures by artists like Paul Kneale and Kiki Smith. Additionally, new works by Alessandro Moreschini and others are exhibited at Palazzo del Podestà. Mayor Jamil Sadegholvaad referred to the museum as a "work in progress."
