Parma's Lux Festival 360 Showcases Light-Based Art Across Historic Venues
Curated by Chiara Canali and Camilla Mineo, the Lux Festival 360 turns Parma into a sprawling museum with unique site-specific projects. Since its inception in 2016, the festival has showcased seventy exhibitions and included over two hundred artists, merging both historical and contemporary figures. Notable displays feature Antonio Barrese's 'Morphology Light' at Galleria San Ludovico and Duo Es's 'Del Sublime' at Torrione Visconteo. Palazzo Pigorini presents 'Quadrifluox' and 'Una nuova Luce' with contributions from illustrators like Jean Mallard. Additionally, Davide Bonazzi is part of 'Draw The Light,' while Michael Kenna's 'Il fiume Po. Scritture di luce' exhibits landscapes from 2007-2019. The exhibition 'Synthetic Horizons' at Casa del Suono, also curated by Canali, is open until May 9. The festival, backed by various organizations, seeks to revitalize urban spaces and promote digital engagement.
