Parlour Gardens: Miniature Ceramic Landscapes Bloom at Barcelona Botanical Garden
The Jardí Botànic de Barcelona will host the exhibition 'Parlour Gardens: Dreams from the Rooftop' from June until October 4, 2026, as a component of Barcelona's UNESCO-UIA World Capital of Architecture initiative. Curated by Marina Cervera, James Hayter, and José Luis Cortés, it showcases ceramic works by 14 landscape architects. This exhibition honors the 1926 creation of 'jardinets de saló' by Nicolau M. Rubió i Tudurí, Llorenç Artigas, and Raoul Dufy, featuring both original artworks and new commissions. The installations will be spread throughout the 14-hectare Montjuïc site, originally designed for the 1992 Olympics, culminating in an event focused on technology and beauty. Additionally, 'Architects of Liberation' at MoMA runs until January 2, 2027, and 'A Structure of Feeling' at Aedes is available until August 19.
