Park Nights 2017 at Serpentine Pavilion by Francis Kéré

Since the year 2000, London’s Serpentine Gallery has been commissioning a temporary pavilion each year for Park Nights, which showcases a variety of live performances in the arts. This year's pavilion, crafted by Burkinabè architect Francis Kéré, focuses on themes of movement and community. Sponsored by COS, the program commenced on June 30 with a performance by Arthur Jafa, who presented his exhibition 'A Series of Utterly Improbable, Yet Extraordinary Renditions' (running until September 10). Performances will take place every Friday until September 22, featuring artists such as Bouchra Ouizguen (July 14), Tamara Henderson (July 21), Black Quantum Futurism (August 18), Shen Xin (August 25), Eleanor Antin (September 15), and Joseph Grigely (September 22). Hans Ulrich Obrist emphasized the pavilion's importance in creating remarkable experiences.
