festival-fair · 2026-04-23

The 30th edition of Mois de la Photo in Paris, under the theme 'Paris collectionne,' is showcasing around 20,000 prints from the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP) across sixty venues. Significant exhibits include works by Harry Callahan at the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson, Larry Clark at the Musée d'Art Moderne, André Kertész at Jeu de Paume, Mario Giacomelli at the Institut Culturel Italien, Henri Foucault at Baudoin Lebon, and Mac Adams at Serge Aboukrat. MEP is featuring 'Autour de l'extrême.' A new photography venue, Le BAL, has opened near Place Clichy with 'Anonymes,' featuring artists like Walker Evans and Jeff Wall. The Paris Photo fair runs from November 18–21 at the Carrousel du Louvre, emphasizing Central European photography. Christie's Paris will auction over 60 Richard Avedon photos, including a classic Marilyn Monroe portrait, on November 20. Charles-Arthur Boyer’s article examines photography's shift from analog to digital, touching on themes of authenticity and manipulation.
