Paris Internationale 2022 Held in Nadar's Former Studio
The 2022 edition of Paris Internationale, a curated art fair founded in 2015 by galleries Antoine Levi, Gregor Staiger, Crèvecoeur, Sultana, and High Art, takes place in the former studio of photographer Nadar at 35 Boulevard des Capucines, where the first Impressionist exhibition was held in 1874. The venue, currently under renovation to become offices in an area where real estate values exceed €20,000 per square meter, features six floors including a basement exhibition produced with CNAP – Centre National des Arts Plastiques, large glass walls, and an internal terrace. The fair hosts 60 galleries from 26 countries, with a balanced international presence compared to earlier editions dominated by French galleries. Italian participants include Ciaccia Levi (now with spaces in Milan and Paris), Apalazzo (Brescia), Ermes Ermes (Rome), Fanta-MLN (Milan), Gregor Staiger (with spaces in Zurich and Milan), and P420 (Bologna). The fair also features high-quality small and large publishers, Illy coffee, a bar, and a pop-up from the culinary project ONA. Paris Internationale was launched during the last growth period of FIAC, before the pandemic, and has since moved from a double hotel particulier to the former offices of Libération, and now to Nadar's studio.
