Paris Internationale 2017: New Format and Strong Sales Impress Gallerists

festival-fair · 2026-05-04

Paris Internationale, the youngest collateral fair of FIAC, returned for its third edition with a completely revamped format and a prestigious partnership with Gucci. Founded in 2015 by five emerging galleries—Crèvecoeur, High Art, Antoine Levi, Sultana, and Gregor Staiger—the fair moved from previous hôtel particulier settings to a multi-story parking garage near Place de la République, formerly the headquarters of Libération. Gallerists reported high satisfaction with sales and attendance. Nerina Ciaccia of Antoine Levi noted excellent feedback and public appreciation for the new location. Federico Vavassori, a Milanese gallerist, praised the fair's agile, invitation-only format that allows greater freedom. Giuseppe Alleruzzo of Spazio A in Pistoia highlighted the ability to arrange works like a show rather than a booth, aligning with his gallery's spirit. Luca Castiglioni of BFA Boatos Fine Arts (São Paulo and Milan) emphasized networking opportunities and accessible costs. Giulia De Giorgio of Mangione Gallery in Turin reported sales and interest across their artists. The fair runs until October 22, 2017, at 11 Rue Béranger, Paris.
