Paris Gallery Weekend 2021 Draws Record Attendance and Sales

From June 3 to 6, 2021, the eighth Paris Gallery Weekend showcased 128 galleries—more than twice the number from the previous year—and included 138 exhibitions, comprising 95 solo and 43 group shows. The event, organized by the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d'Art (CPGA), attracted approximately 7,500 to 8,000 visitors. Notable galleries participating were Perrotin, Zwirner, and White Cube, among others. Guglielmo Sultana from Galleria Sultana praised the event's diverse offerings and vibrant atmosphere, which fostered new connections and sales. Marie-Camille Olive of Galerie Pascal Lansberg remarked on the joy of face-to-face interactions with eager collectors. CPGA's general delegate, Géraldine de Spéville, noted the record participation reflected the resilience of French art galleries post-pandemic.
