Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025/26: Debuts, Rebellions, and Reinventions

festival-fair · 2026-04-26

The Paris Fashion Week fall/winter 2025/26 season, which ended on March 11, showcased a series of debuts, rebellious statements, and reinterpretations of heritage. Haider Ackermann made his debut at Tom Ford, stripping away 1970s and 1980s references for a contemporary, sensual simplicity. Sarah Burton presented her first collection for Givenchy, focusing on craftsmanship and construction, with nude looks and tight boots. Julian Klausner, who worked alongside Dries Van Noten since 2018, debuted his first womenswear collection for the brand, rich in textures and colors. Alessandro Michele continued his maximalist vision at Valentino with a meta-theatrical show exploring intimacy, featuring pearls, ruffles, and lace. Rick Owens presented a dystopian, simplistic approach; The Row banned phones to challenge social media speed; Balenciaga merged formal and sportswear; Duran Lantink used fake breasts and buttocks to alter anatomy. Seán McGirr at Alexander McQueen delivered a neo-dandy Victorian sensibility, while Stefano Gallici at Ann Demeulemeester expanded the gothic style to a younger audience. Miuccia Prada at Miu Miu deconstructed femininity from a male perspective, using bras as central accessories. Saint Laurent closed the week with a shift to the last day, presenting lowered waistlines, broad shoulders, and animalier prints that referenced the 1980s.
