Paris and France host graphic arts festival and exhibitions exploring political history and representation

Running until 8 February, La Fête du Graphisme 2015 takes place across France, featuring the Pour Charlie exhibition at La Friche Belle de Mai in Marseille, which highlights works inspired by Charlie Hebdo from international artists. In Paris, the Cité International des Arts displays a history of underground comics, including Robert Crumb's 'Je suis Charlie' piece. Claire Angelini's Géographie d’une Histoire, located at La Compagnie in Marseille, delves into the 1962 Algerian War of Independence and is open until 15 February. From 18 February to 17 May, Bouchra Khalili's Foreign Office at Palais de Tokyo investigates Algiers' involvement in liberation movements. La Mobilisation Des Esprits at Musée de Cambrai, showcasing WWI-era French caricatures, is available until 15 February. An exhibition featuring Alain Fleischer, Jean-Jacques Lebel, and Danielle Schirman at Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nantes continues until 22 February.
