Paris+ 2023 Public Program Expands Across Six Parisian Institutions
The second edition of Paris+ par Art Basel, scheduled for October 20–22, 2023, will feature an expanded public program across six historic Parisian venues. Director Clément Delépine announced new partnerships with institutions including the Institut de France, Palais d'Iéna, and Centre Pompidou, alongside returning locations Jardin des Tuileries, Chapelle des Petits-Augustins des Beaux-Arts de Paris, and Place Vendôme. The program includes three exhibitions, two monumental outdoor installations, and talks. Highlights include a group show 'La cinquième saison' at Jardin des Tuileries curated by Annabelle Ténèze in collaboration with the Musée du Louvre; a textile installation by Sheila Hicks at the Institut de France presented by Galerie Frank Elbaz with Meyer Riegger and Francesca Minini; a dual solo exhibition by Daniel Buren and Michelangelo Pistoletto at Palais d'Iéna curated by Matthieu Poirier and supported by Galleria Continua; a multimedia installation by Jessica Warboys at Chapelle des Petits-Augustins presented by Gaudel de Stampa; and a 5-meter aluminum sculpture by Urs Fischer at Place Vendôme presented by Gagosian. Conversations at Centre Pompidou are curated by Pierre-Alexandre Mateos and Charles Teyssou. New galleries joining include Blum & Poe, Bortolami, kurimanzutto, Jan Mot, and P.P.O.W. The fair aims to strengthen its cultural presence in Paris beyond the Grand Palais Éphémère.
