Paratissima Milano Moves to Fabbrica del Vapore During Design Week

festival-fair · 2026-05-04

Paratissima, the Turin-born art fair for emerging artists, is relocating its Milan edition to Fabbrica del Vapore during Design Week (April 9–14, 2019). After debuting at Base during Photo Week in 2018, the fair now runs six days with free admission. Artistic director Francesca Canfora announced three exhibitions—'Where Art meets Design,' 'Natural Flavours,' and 'Digital Humanity'—plus a workshop with IAAD exploring art-design intersections and future technology. Over 90 artists, creatives, designers, and galleries participate, alongside 20 IAAD students using 360-degree cameras and VR editing. Special projects include Feral Horses and Ophir Design Studio's VR-enhanced work on Jago's 'Habemus Hominem,' and a 'Spring Design' exhibition by Casa d’Aste Della Rocca featuring historic design icons. Paratissima originated in 2005 as an offshoot of Artissima and has since expanded to Bologna and Novara.
