Paratissima expands to Cavallerizza with new spaces and exhibitions in Turin

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Paratissima, the contemporary art fair dedicated to emerging talents, has expanded its cultural activities to the Complesso della Cavallerizza Reale in Turin, adding the ground floor and courtyard of the Manica del Mosca to its existing spaces at ARTiglieria, creating an exhibition route of over 10,000 square meters. The expansion, supported by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, aims to establish the Cavallerizza complex—a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1997—as a hub for culture and arts. New site-specific interventions under the title 'Ephemera' include Daniel González's 'Parade Curtains' and 'Echo~Sistema' by Milan-based collective Anonima/Luci with sound designer Katatonic Silentio, on view until September 11. Curated by Francesca Canfora and Laura Tota, these works reinterpret the historic spaces, originally built in 1740 by Benedetto Alfieri for equestrian exercises. Additionally, a major museum-scale exhibition 'Senza Titolo!' by Nicola Bolla (born 1963 in Saluzzo) opened on June 23 in the Galoppatoio and Scuderie Reali, running until October 16. Curated by Nicola Davide Angerame, the show spans 25 years of Bolla's career, juxtaposing his lesser-known paintings with iconic sculptural installations like 'Vanitas' encrusted with Swarovski crystals, including many recent and never-before-seen works. The opening was dedicated to the memory of Francesco Convertini, Paratissima's young graphic designer who recently died in a tragic accident.
