Paratissima Bologna moves to former Magazzini Romagnoli industrial site

festival-fair · 2026-05-04

Paratissima, an art fair celebrating emerging artists, is set to return to Bologna for its second iteration from February 1 to 3, 2019, aligning with Arte Fiera and Bologna Art Week. This year, the event will take place at Magazzini Romagnoli, a historic industrial space being repurposed into a cultural center. Originally a site for fruit and vegetable processing until the late 1970s, it has roots dating back to the 16th century. Giulio Romagnoli envisions connecting its past with future endeavors. The fair will showcase 70 artists under the theme 'Expeausition,' feature a performance program by Almadanza, and introduce a new 'Art in the City' initiative. Additionally, Paratissima partners with SET UP for promotions and provides free entry for IAAD students.
