Paratissima 2023 opens in Turin's Cavallerizza for the last time

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

Paratissima has opened its 2023 edition in the Cavallerizza Reale in Turin, marking its final year at this 15,000-square-meter UNESCO site. The venue is being converted into a cultural hub housing the University, Compagnia di San Paolo, and a five-star hotel. CEO Lorenzo Germak stated that after managing this large space, the organization does not want to downsize and is seeking a similar venue, possibly the former Superga factory in via Verolengo, Madonna di Campagna, with a bid closing on November 14 requiring €1 million. The fair features 400 artists across 10 curated shows with 20 curators, including six from the NICE course, plus a new section on the third floor and a live program with a decompression moment in the immersive sound room Beyond. The event also includes a spin-off of the PhotoFestival Liquida curated by Laura Tota in previously closed spaces.
