Parati: New Art Space Opens in Former Bike Warehouse in Taranto

exhibition · 2026-04-26

On December 19, 2025, a new contemporary art space called Parati opened inside the Campagna Amica covered market in Taranto, at Via Umbria 147/A, in a former bicycle warehouse. The inaugural exhibition, I cinque raggi, features artists Angelo Greco and Gianluca Marinelli. Greco's photographs isolate fragments of surfaces and residues, creating an enigmatic, suspended reality that suggests latent possibilities. Marinelli works with the space as an archive, using reworked documents, photomontages, and site-specific interventions to construct a layered narrative that reactivates the site's memories. The project is part of a broader initiative by Coldiretti Taranto and the Campagna Amica network, which have long been active in promoting local agri-food excellence, environmental protection, and social ties. The opening of this art project room expands their scope, offering a new reading of the urban and cultural context, signaling Taranto as a space capable of generating visions.
