Paolo Verri Appointed Director of Fondazione Mondadori in Milan

In Milan, Paolo Verri, who hails from Turin and was born in 1966, has taken over as the director of the Fondazione Arnoldo e Alberto Mondadori, succeeding Marta Inversini. Founded in 1979, this foundation is dedicated to upholding the heritage of Italian publishers Arnoldo and Alberto Mondadori. Verri, who previously led the Turin International Book Fair from 1993 to 1997, will implement a two-phase strategy. The first phase, from 2024 to 2026, aims to boost both national and international visibility, beginning with Italy's involvement in the Frankfurt Book Fair 2024 and culminating in the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics. The second phase, from 2027 to 2029, will celebrate the foundation's 50th anniversary. President Luca Formenton highlighted the importance of fostering public engagement and enhancing access through digital means. Verri has also played a significant role in Matera 2019 and Expo Milano 2015.
