Paolo Novelli's Photography at Palazzo Grillo, Genoa

A solo exhibition titled 'La fotografia come differenza' by Paolo Novelli (b. 1976) is on view at Palazzo Grillo in Genoa. The show presents about forty images from five cycles of his black-and-white analog photography, curated by Genoese gallerist Giovanni Battista Martini. Novelli's work explores themes of incommunicability, silence, and existential solitude through doors, windows, tunnels, fog, and statue faces, creating a suspended time where interior and exterior blur. A deep sense of mortality pervades the images, not negatively but as an irremediable consequence of existence.
