Paolo Aita retrospective at Museo Carlo Bilotti in Rome
The Museo Carlo Bilotti in Rome is hosting a group exhibition titled 'Ponte di Conversazione' dedicated to Paolo Aita, a multifaceted figure born in Cosenza in 1958 who worked as a writer, critic, curator, poet, musicologist, and journalist until his sudden death in 2016 at age 58. Curated by Donatella Giordano, Fernanda Motta, and Donatella Pinocci, the show features works by artists who knew Aita, interspersed with his translations of Tang dynasty poems (618–907 CE) from his book 'Dove l'acqua riposa'. The exhibition aims to foster dialogue and includes three scheduled events with readings, performances, and sound interventions. The museum is named after industrialist and philanthropist Carlo Bilotti, a friend of Giorgio de Chirico and Andy Warhol, who donated part of his collection to the city.
