Panorama: Diffuse exhibition across Procida with 50 works from 63 Italian galleries
From September 2 to 5, 2021, Procida hosted Panorama, a groundbreaking diffuse exhibition organized by Italics, which comprises 63 Italian galleries. Curated by Vincenzo de Bellis, the event showcased approximately 50 pieces of art throughout the island, with Terra Murata serving as the central location. Among the prominent installations were Lucio Fontana's 'Concetto Spaziale. La fine di Dio' (1963) and Fortunato Depero's 'Tarantella' (1918). Outdoor displays featured works like Mimmo Paladino's 'Untitled' (2016) and Giulia Cenci's 'Pissing figures' (2020). Lorenzo Fiaschi from Galleria Continua emphasized the initiative's goal of linking art to its surroundings, and Italics is considering extending Panorama to additional regions in Italy. The local community received the project with great enthusiasm.
