Pandolfini Casa d'Aste Launches ARCADE for Affordable Art

Pandolfini Casa d'Aste, the Florentine auction house with over ninety years of history, has launched a new brand called ARCADE. The initiative targets quality artworks at more accessible price points to attract new clients to the auction world and guide them into collecting. The first ARCADE catalog, 'Dipinti dal XV al XX secolo,' was auctioned on October 4 at the historic Palazzo Ramirez-Montalvo in Florence. Pietro de Bernardi, CEO of Pandolfini, explained that ARCADE maintains the same rigorous selection and evaluation standards as the main Pandolfini brand, with catalogs curated by the same experts and departments. The new brand complements existing expansions, including branches in Florence, Milan, and Rome, the Pandolfini Live online bidding platform, and thematic auctions like 'Capolavori da Collezioni Italiane,' which started in 2014 and has become a benchmark for competitors. ARCADE does not focus on specific artists or movements but offers a broad range of works from the 15th to 20th centuries, including pieces by Cecco Bravo, Bernardino Luini, Camillo Procaccini, Giuseppe De Nittis, and Galileo Chini. The auction house also operates online sales via PANDOLFINI TEMPO and in-room sales at its secondary venue under the POGGIOBRACCIOLINI brand.
