Pamela Anderson stars in Gia Coppola's 'The Last Showgirl'

Pamela Anderson stars in 'The Last Showgirl', directed by Gia Coppola and written by Kate Gersten. The film follows Shelly, a veteran Las Vegas showgirl forced to confront her future after her long-running show abruptly closes. Anderson was cast after Coppola saw her in the documentary 'Pamela, A Love Story', which revealed a vulnerable side beyond her sex-symbol image. Jamie Lee Curtis co-stars as Shelly's best friend. The screenplay originated from Gersten's unproduced play 'Body of Work', inspired by the 'Jubilee!' show she saw in Las Vegas in 2013. The film was released in Italian theaters on April 3, 2025, by Be Water Film.
