Paloma Bau's Valencia Renovation Rejects Beige for Bold Color and Flexible Living
Paloma Bau has completed a full renovation of a home in Valencia, Spain, abandoning neutral beige interiors for a bold, colorful scheme tailored to the owners' wish for a lived-in house. The long, narrow floor plan is reorganized into distinct bands—entrance and living area, kitchen, bathroom and closets, bedrooms—intersected by a unifying lateral module. Sliding glass doors between rooms filter light and define zones. The palette combines deep grayish blue, olive green, warm beige, and intense maroon, applied to wood and structural details. The 'ever-changing' concept prioritizes ambient flexibility, allowing spaces to evolve with new furniture and personal objects. Signature pieces include the Flos 265 wall lamp and lamps from Santa&Cole. Photography by Jorge Peiró.
